The Client
Axcient offers IT managers, Managed Service Providers, and small business owners local and cloud-based solutions for data backup and recovery, business continuity and disaster recovery. This ongoing project involves moving functionality that traditionally existed on in-office hardware to a web-based platform, making protection and recovery of data and management of continuity in the event of a catastrophe possible anytime, from anywhere.
The Project
Once the Axcient Web Application design was approved, I created a style guide and component specification document so that visual styles and UI patterns could be implemented consistently by multiple developers without error. It also served as a jumping-off point for future components.
This project was delivered as a PDF, but today I would expect such a document to be converted into a living browser-based library for ease of maintenance and sharing, and direct integration with the related code.
